4. Reduce water runoff with a rain garden and a rain barrel
5. Keep paved surfaces to a minimum
6. Wash your car on the lawn
7. Keep chemicals away from storm sewer drains
8. Pick up pet waste
9. Aim gutter downspouts onto grass
